Dali Brought to Life
This is an animation I created of Dali's Galacidalacidesoxyribonucleicacid. I used a Canon 5D Miii to take a high resolution photo of the gigantic painting when I visited the Dali Museum in St. Pete. I had this idea of the artwork painting itself into existence. The paint spilling onto the canvas with each element falling into place. I knew could achieve this by carefully cropping out the elements in Photoshop and key-framing them in 3D. I used stock ink blot footage as alpha channels to reveal the background. This project taught me a lot about how the 3D lighting and cameras works in After Effects.
